Quote of the Minute

Sweet God.

I owe the following people~ Squee, Mike, Lisa, AJ, Kath, and Fiona {sorry, I am currently uninformed of Fiona's website address}.

Secondly, anyone see that Dana Carvey comedy special in which he related the story of how his single friends don't quite understand life with marriage and kids? Well, there's this part where he says how one of his friends called him up and said "Gawd. I woke up at noon and I'm still tirrrrred." Ha. I got back home last night from Toronto at about 2am. We left the city at around 2pm, stopped at customs, stopped to get our currency exchanged and buy some snacks for the trip home, took an hour to fix a broken windshield wiper somewhere between Rochester and Syracuse, and got back into Fallsburg at 1:45am.

Some random highlights from this weekend.Meeting AJ, Kath and Fiona at my hotel and later learning that I could've fucking left with them to see the city at night and hang out.I saw the skyline at sunset while on the Mariposa Cruise line on Lake Ontario. I was on the upper deck watching the lights come on in the city and felt so damn free. Took so many pictures and they all seem to have come out beautifully. Great shots. We went to the CN tower on Saturday. I got to walk around alone in my own little world which is a lot better than walking around with my classmates. I saw the whole city and felt that inner peace that those people who are more spiritual than I'll ever be are always talking about. That's all that I can remember off the top of my head. I'm so tired.

Some notes to be written about the guest entries. I hope you enjoyed them.

Mike: I wasn't living it up at 5am in Toronto. I was sleeping at 5am in Toronto every day this weekend including yesterday :) I didn't even get the chance to be naughty in Toronto like you suggested. Stupid fucks I call the boys in my class decided on Saturday night that they wanted to sneak out and go to a strip club closest to the hotel we stayed at in the East Bumblefuck sector of East Toronto. They ask Karp, our advisor, if they can take Brenda, the other chaperone, and go downtown. Karp calls their bluff and tells them that if she says yes, that he can't stop them. A flock of them run down to her room and beg her, they'll pay for her entry, the cab, her drinks, anything. She either laughed and/or slammed the door on them saying no. So, disgruntled, they head down to the bar with the strip club/stripper page ripped out of the phone book by Brenda (this being a new thing to our boys as we currently are bereft of any strip clup listing in our yellow pages). They attempt to call when Karp catches a few of them drinking after Brenda supposedly informed him of their evening plans.

End result: Doors taped a little after 1am. Karp and Brenda take turns manning the hallway outside our rooms all night. Any and all hope of going out on the town the next night are fucked to hell. I sat with AJ, Kath and Fiona in the hotel falsely thinking that this was all that we could do. The pizza was good, gotta say that. Yet, imagine my surprise when Kristen comes walking to her room after leaving the hotel with Karp's permission to go out with her friends from Toronto. Fuck that. The next day at Eatons, AJ, Kath and Fiona take me out for an hour to Tortilla Flats. Loved the walk. Actually got to see the uncut version of the city, complete with homeless people, the Condom Store (shop?) and the Rivoli. I wonder if the food got to our table before Fiona returned from taking me back to the mall just in time to get on the bus. The leash was only extended so as to let me go so far as Yonge Street (fucking long ass street, as Fiona and the tour guide told me), yet I made it to Queen Street. Fuck you, you stupid tour guide industry.

Thanks to Lisa for the third guest entry. I thought you did well. Plus, I wanna brag. I saw the U2 Does Much special while it was live. It was fucking long. Also, this reminds me, Karp was miffed that I knew U2 was going to be in town at the same time we were and didn't say anything. To think, I could've gotten out of seeing the Lion King for U2. Not that there's anything wrong with the Lion King, I just think that U2 is a little bit more suiting of the mentality of my group.

I got my pictures developed today and they turned out great. I'm thrilled with them. I'm going back to Toronto in about a month. Thanks to Kath and Fiona for offering crash space. I'll either take up you or Squee, depending on if she's okay with it considering how I failed to call her once during my time in Toronto. I'm extra sorry, Squee. I'll make it up to her, either the next time I'm up or at Falcon Ridge. Fuck, I have to send out my money for those tix.

Overall, it was a great weekend. I can't wait for the uncensored version.
