So.Thanks very much to you and you. I appreciated the entries. They put very big smiles on my face as I read them both in the college library before jetting off to ITS (technical shit) meeting.
Orientation is a very interesting thing. I got here completely afraid that I ould not know anyone and would be an outcast.
in the end these are the following things I got from this weekend:
1) Possible boyfriend - Only because I'm not sure if I'm interested, but if I wanted to, I could have a hook up. We'll see where it goes. If I want it to go anywhere. There's no chemistry. But though he's interested, it doesn't mean that I want him too. He's too passive. At least with Tony, there was chemistry, arguments, etc... There's none of that with this guy. There's something off about him. So I suppose that I didn't get a possible boyfriend out of this. Ah well.
2) Roomate for next year - I didn't even wait to get my rooming assignment for next year.
3) A first semester schedule involving no math or science classes. I was supposed to be hooked up with an honors english class but I didn't get a letter. Dr. Woolbright, the english department head, was shocked that I didn't get a letter informing me that I was accepted into the Honors English program considering my high verbal SAT scores and how much she liked my essay.
4) A very messed up ankle. First night at orientation, we were outside competing in this stupid game. I heard one ankle snap. I heard the one that was already sprained/whatever crack. I cried that night as my roommate for the weekend and I just sat there in the dorm.
5) No Adrien. That sucked. I wanted to stay but my ankle was acting up and I was tired as all fuck so I got on the phone to call him. He wasn't getting out until 2 which means I wouldn't see him until 3 which means I would leave Albany at around 5 or later and miss therapy tonight at quarter of 9. All this was useless and I could have stayed had I known how much pain I'd be in right now as I sit online canceling my appointment with Frank.
6) The shock of reading Tony's guest entry as I sat in the library during orientation waiting for the tech support lecture (during which I got a *new* email address - that I can check anywhere - and played around online. It's an Internet for Dummies course that they give to all the new students). I was skeptical, at first, that he would pull through and write something and apparently, so were a few of my other regular readers. I thought it was sweet. Thanks again and Happy Birthday to Tony.
Work tomorrow. Supposedly, my kids missed me today.
Wonder if they sat down...
