Okay, I am Laura, Sally's friend. Sally asked me to write a guest entry this weekend. Actually, I was supposed to do it yesterday, but I was out driving all day. Then I had a fight with my boyfriend and an arguement with my parents. :( I ended up locking myself in my room, listening to Dave Matthew's Band all night. Anyway, I had no idea what I was supposed to write, but Sally told me to write about her. Her goes: I met Sally when we were in the same math class. She was the sarcastic girl who sat in the row next to mine. I thought that I had nothing in common with her and that we would never become friends, except for that neither one of us seemed to pay any attention and sometimes she even kept me awake with her jokes and comments. Most of the time I saw Sally writing...I never had any idea what she was writing though.I started talking to her when the Literary Art Mag. came out and she told me how they had cut her story. She stuck in a copy the story anyway, and I read it. I talked to her about it and then started thinking of her as a friend.
I invited her to my party...for you readers it's the one that Sally called boring, a waste of getting dressed up, the one that she had to get out of. LOL Sorry Sally...I am just kidding around. :-P Well, I invited Sally last minute and she gave me the complete novel Jobey Stites. I loved the thoughtful gift and thought that it was such a sweet story! In fact, I love most of Sally's writing. We began talking a lot more and about some pretty important subjects. She linked me to this diary and she even had me crying a couple of times, on subjects like suicide. I learned so much about her. It sort of made me feel a lot closer to her...especially when I (being the loser that i am) sat at my computer and read about months and months of her life!
Then, there was July 7th. That was the night that I went with Sally and Ilene to watch fireworks at the raceway. I had so much fun. It is hillarious that Sally compared us to three sixteen year old boys talking about sex. I saw that I have even more things in common with her and that she's a great friend. Well, afterward we went to Wal*mart. By that time it was after midnight, so I had began my sixteenth birthday with Sally and Ilene. I thought that was pretty cool. (Even though I never got to see the Wal*Mart boy, hehe)
I guess that is a quick summary of the time that I have known Sally. I wish that I had something better to write in here, but maybe Sally will let me do this again another time when I do.
(Lil note to Sally) Excuse the stupid entry babe. Hope that you had fun on your lil trip and enjoyed your orientation. You really are an awesome, talented person. When are we gonna hang out again? I wanna watch Baseketball! :-)
Later babe!
~Laura
